My wife and I have been together for 12yrs and been through some great aswell as bad times. For a time, I wasn’t the best hubby in the world and I admit it. I learned from my mistakes and make it my mission to no be the best husband I can and treat her like the queen she is.
Bout 8 yrs ago my wife had to have major back surgery to have a stainless steel rod insterted to fuse her spin. Since then she has been on major medication, $500.00 per month to deal with the pain.
Since the surgery, our sex life and intimacy has all but faded to zero. I have tried to offer up more non-sexual intimacy, be more romantic etc, but no change.
5yrs ago give or take I assumed all the house hold responsiblities as well as my normal work @ work. She now comes home from work, changes and lays down. Usually when I come to bed she is out like a light. I feel like a bag of dirt to wake her and ask for lovin.
What am I to do anymore, feel like a buttler more then husband
I have offered sensual massages, do her nails, buy her something that she feels attactive in. All that stuff. Even tried to book, date nights, lunches, romantic dinners, anything and everyting. Played both sides of the fence, sexual and non.
I have no intention of cheating or leaving her, I love her with all my heart and would gladly accept all that pain onto myself if I could.
I do the chores because I love her, and want do support her/be there for her. I just becomes physically, mentally and emotionally exhausting on me. Somedays I need her to recharge my batteries if you will
